Why Modest Isn’t Hottest

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Modest is Hottest!” Doesn’t it just make you cringe and think of mom jeans and collared sweaters?

Modest..? No thanks. Every woman wants to feel like a supermodel. Long legs, skinny waste, or not!

Can I tell you a secret? Modest doesn’t need to be drab and frumpy, it can be sexy too!

Sexy is when it feels good to be in your own skin. Your own body feels right, it feels comfortable… Sexy is when you love being you. – Sex God

We are living in a world of “sex sells” advertising. And all it does it tear down a woman’s confidence. We carry the burden of comparing ourselves (knowingly or not) to the other women around us.

Modesty is not determined by how much you hide your body just as being sexy is not determined by how little you hide your body.  If we look at it that way we are diminishing the picture of our bodies beauty that God created.

Surprisingly, we portray what we THINK about ourselves, how much we VALUE ourselves through our clothing.

Some of the most confident, beautiful, Godly women I know are women who don’t dress to hide themselves, but they aren’t revealing either. They’re modest and sexy all in one!

The Proverbs 31 woman (heard of her? If you haven’t check out Proverbs 31:10-31), is a woman that we long to be like. She is noble, capable, beautiful, captivating, does business, is full of wisdom, and takes pride in her appearance. This is a confident woman!

And true confidence comes from knowing who you are, and more importantly whose you are.

And ladies, in case you need a reminder:

YOU are the daughter of a King.

YOU are the peak of God’s creation.

Everything about you is beautiful because that’s how God made you

YOU are his most treasured.

What is the image you want to show the rest of the world? You get to choose to be that person for real.
